To give you a brief recap of the day, India started the day at 284 for 2 with ton-up Pujara and Kohli going strongly at the crease. After adding a few more runs to the total, Pujara departed on 153, while Kohli soon followed him, missing out on his second ton of the Test by just 4 runs.
However, with the exception of Dhoni (29) and Zaheer Khan (29) the Indian middle and lower order couldn’t make a big contribution as they were bowled out for 421, setting SA a final target of 458.
Petersen and Smith provided the hosts with a steady start as they put up a 100-run stand for the opening wicket. However, Smith was run out on 44 and Hashim Amla fell cheaply on 4 towards the end of the day, putting India back in the driving seat in this game.
The hosts will look at their middle-order, hoping that they play out the final day to save this Test match.
Do join us again at 1:30 pm tomorrow for all the updates and the best pictures from day 5 of the first Test. Till then, good night!
