Sony Xperia C3 'Selfie-Focused' Smartphone Goes on Sale

Sony's selfie-focused smartphone, the Xperia C3, has on Wednesday gone on sale in Russia at RUB 13,990 (approximately Rs. 23,000). The smartphone was launched alongside its dual-SIM variant, Xperia C3 Dual, last month. Sony had then said that it will globally announce the smartphone in August.
The Sony Xperia C3 is already available in China via an online retailer, priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 19,700 approximately). The highlight feature of the Xperia C3 is its 5-megapixel front-facing camera, with a 25mm wide-angle lens with an 80-degree field of view along with soft LED flash. It also comes with 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera along with soft-LED flash.
The Sony Xperia C3 and Sony Xperia C3 Dual feature identical specifications, with the latter sporting dual-SIM card slots in addition. Both phones run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Xperia C3 features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) Triluminos display supported by Bravia Engine 2 and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core QualcommSnapdragon processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

It packs a 2500mAh battery, which is rated for up to 24 hours of talk time (unspecified network) and 1,071 hours of standby time, according to the company. The various connectivity options on the Xperia C3 include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, and USB charging. The smartphone measures 156x78.5x7.6mm, weighs 150 grams and comes in Black, White and Mint colour variants.
